Training - International Collaborative Programs
← Back

Flinders Biomedical Engineering provide biomedical engineering training for Australian and international clients in two main ways. These mentoring and training programs are often developed in collaboration with ECRI or with other organisations. Contact FBE Director for a course tailored to your requirements.

Mentors and trainers placed in clients workplace

A cost effective method of training is to place experienced, practising trainers in the clients workplace to work with a group of staff or to run formalised training sessions.

Flinders Biomedical Engineering is experienced at placing individuals or a team of mentors in hospital-based biomedical engineering environments both in Australia and overseas to train less experienced technical staff in the maintenance and management of both clinical and laboratory devices.

About Adelaide

In Adelaide, students can generally be housed within 1 km of the Flinders campus in a park-like setting, with good public transport available to the city centre and within a few minutes of a large regional shopping centre.  Some students decided on car hire for the duration of their stay, while others used public transport. The Central Market provides an excellent range of food from many countries.

With a five day working week, there is generally time during the weekend for tourist activities around Adelaide and South Australia. Popular visits include the world renowned southern wine regions (1 hour by road), koalas at Cleland Conservation Park, potaroos and platypus at Warrawong Earth Sanctuary and Kangaroo Island with its abundant kangaroos koalas and seals.
